Real-World business Income
Many Web3 projects are leveraging distributed computing capabilities by deploying high-performance computing resources, such as NVIDIA H100 or 4090, onto blockchain networks. These resources can be accessed and utilized by users to generate economic value.
However, the excessive concentration of high-performance computing resources has resulted in significant resource waste and inefficient energy consumption for both users and edge devices. Meanwhile, large-scale AI applications often opt for self-built data centers instead of relying on the services provided by these projects. Despite possessing vast quantities of computational resources, these projects struggle to generate sufficient fiat revenue to support their token value. Consequently, the token’s value continues to depreciate, leading to decreased user participation and, ultimately, device shutdowns.
The EdgeX project team brings extensive experience in distributed computing, having previously worked with companies like AWS, Oracle, Tencent, Xiaomi, and Qualcomm. The team has been instrumental in generating over $10 billion in commercial service revenue. As the project progresses, the team plans to migrate and deploy their cooperative network services onto the EdgeX platform, enabling EdgeX to generate real-world income from these services. The revenue generated from these network services will provide valuable support for the $EX Token.
As of December 2024, EdgeX has been conducting Test-Net operations in various regions, including Japan, South Korea, the UK, Canada, and Taiwan.
